My work as a psychotherapist began 8 years ago in 2010, studying Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy at the Northern Guild of Psychotherapy in Newcastle.

The Humanistic part of my training ensures that I place the highest value on the relationship that I build with my clients so that we may undertake the hardest of tasks. The Integrative part is derived from the multiple models and approaches that I can offer, dependent on the kind of approach that an individual wishes to take. My training is based on methods such as Transactional Analysis, Attachment theory, Gestalt therapy and CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) but I am also trained in creative methods such as sand tray, guided imagery and some forms of art therapy. This means that I have lots of tools in the tool-kit and together we can find the best to suit you.

I believe that we should all be able to live a good life and can help you achieve this. It can be a difficult task to choose a therapist, especially if you are new to therapy. As a humanistic therapist, your needs will be central to the therapy and you can rely upon my care and professionalism. As a UKCP and BACP accredited therapist, I work to the most stringent of ethical frameworks which ensures safety, care and compassion.I offer therapy to help a number of areas, including although not limited to:

  • Stress, Anxiety and Depression
  • Bereavement
  • Relationship Problems
  • Personality Disorders
  • Relationship and intimacy
  • Existential crisis

I offer appointments at Durham Therapy Centre on Mondays. Cost is £50 per session.
