Hi, I’m Stacey, I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. I have thirteen years experience working with adults, children and young people with a range of mental health difficulties and neurodevelopmental disorders. I have worked across inpatient, crisis and community settings and thus have experience supporting those with mild difficulties right through to severe and enduring mental illness.

I started my career as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 2009 and my passion for supporting others to overcome mental health difficulties led me to further training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

During my career I have particularly enjoyed working with children, young people and their families and I currently work as a Psychological Therapist in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Community Team within the NHS.

I offer psychological therapy for difficulties including but not limited to: depression and mood disorders, stress, anxiety / worry, low self esteem, panic, social anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias.

In my appointments, you can expect a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental approach. Together we will seek to understand the difficulties you are experiencing and take steps towards meaningful positive change in your life. I look forward to helping you on your journey towards recovery and please don’t hesitate to get in touch for an initial chat.

I offer appointments at Durham Therapy Centre on Thursday afternoons between 13.30-17.30, and I am also flexible to offer appointments via telephone or video for those who prefer these options. Cost is £95 per hour.
