My name is Kat and I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and a member of BACP working with adult individuals and couples.
I graduated from Northern Guild for Psychotherapy and Counselling and I have been working as a Therapist in organisational and private practice setting for nearly 6 years now.
I work integratively where I combine multiple theories to provide you with the best support possible. My training was drawn on Humanistic theories based on Person-Centred approach complemented by Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, Psychodynamic and Existential theories. I believe there is no 1 approach to fit everybody therefore I tailor sessions to meet individual needs of each client to support their wellbeing and personal growth.
Being bilingual (Polish and English speaking) enables me to provide therapy in both languages and I work well with clients from any cultural and social background respecting their individual beliefs and values. I am trauma informed Therapist and I have experience working with an impact of a trauma including transgenerational and secondary trauma on individuals.
My main interest and the area I focus on developing the most at the moment is human relationships; how they shape us, our relationship with self, the others and the world.

Feel free to contact me for more information about my service or to book an appointment. I currently work at Durham Therapy Centre on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and my fees are £60 for 50 minutes of individual therapy and £85 for 80 minutes of couple therapy.

- Certificate in Couples Therapy, Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham, 2022-2023
- Postgraduate Level 6 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, Northern Guild in Newcastle, 2017 – 2019
- Certificate in Higher Education (Psychology and Counselling) Level 4, Teesside University, 2013
