Amanda FoxI’m Amanda, an Accredited Psychotherapist dedicated to empowering adults who have experienced traumatic events and abusive relationships. I understand the impact trauma can have on your identity, mind, and body. I support clients in managing their symptoms of anxiety, depression, and chronic pain/fatigue.

Psychotherapy is especially helpful when you are feeling stuck. I work long term with clients to help them find new strategies, increase their self-worth, and make meaningful changes in their lives and relationships.

My approach is Humanistic & Integrative, with a foundation in Transactional Analysis. I will use a variety of evidence-based theories to create a tailored approach to fit your needs and goals.

I have 6 years’ experience working with a broad range of clients in Primary Care, and for the last three years I have specialised in working with older adults (50+) in the charitable sector. I am most enthusiastic about supporting individuals with chronic pain disorders (i.e. fibromyalgia), and those who identify as neurodiverse.

Appointments

I currently offer face to face appointments at Durham Therapy Centre on Friday mornings. I can also work remotely online. Fee is £60 per client hour.
